We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join Dr Oliver Bannard's B Cell Biology Group in the MRC Human Immunology Unit at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine.
The Bannard Group investigates the fundamental principles underpinning how antibody affinity maturation and B cell differentiation occur in germinal centres. We aim to decipher the mechanisms driving clonal selection and to understand how they shape the quality of antibody responses. To this end, the lab employs sophisticated in vivo models to track and monitor cell differentiation in situ, as well as to uncover the events and cues guiding B cell behaviour. To be considered for this position you should have a PhD in immunology or in a related subject and have proven research and organizational skills. You should have the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team and the ability to manage the day-to-day running of a research project.
The post is fixed-term up to 31/12/2025 , in the first instance.
