One ERC-funded postdoctoral position is available in the lab “Stroma, Inflammation and Tissue Repair” (Department of Immunology, Institut Pasteur, Paris) to study the regulation of immune responses and tissue repair by stromal cells.
Our lab investigates the role of stromal cells in tissue homeostasis /repair and how perturbation of stromal pathways impacts on inflammatory diseases and cancer (Dulauroy, Nature Medicine 2012; Stzepourginski, PNAS 2017; Di Carlo, JCI 2018). Using unique mice models developed in the lab, the aim of this project is to identify novel mechanisms that stromal cells employ to direct tissue-specific imprinting and regulate immune responses.
The study will involve wide range of techniques including in vivo lineage tracing/ genetic depletion in mice models, multi-parametric flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and transcriptomic studies (RNAseq). This position is part of an ERC project aiming at identifying new therapeutic approaches in inflammatory diseases and cancer. The successful candidate has recently obtained a PhD, and has a proven track record of achievement in immunology or stromal biology. Motivated candidates with creative and innovative skills, which have previous experience with either FACS, confocal imaging or RNAseq are especially encouraged to apply.
