A 3-year postdoctoral position is available in the Clinical Radiopharmacy Research Group led by Prof. Dr. Martin A. Walter at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland. The preferable starting date is April 1st 2021. The position is part of a recently funded project to develop new methods for molecular imaging with positron emission tomography (PET).
The Clinical Radiopharmacy Research Group at the University Hospital of Geneva is a multidisciplinary team comprising chemists, radiochemists, biologists and physicians, committed to the development of novel approaches for disease detection and therapy, as well as their translation from bench to bed. The laboratories are located at the campus of the University Hospital of Geneva, and are equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities, including a core facility for small animal imaging. Successful candidates will join a stimulating research environment located in a clinical setting
We seek a talented and highly motivated candidate with a track record of animal experimentation and programming experience in Python and R. The ideal candidate is collaborative and creative, has a strong publication record, and is fluent in English. Practical experience with tools such as Biopython, and Scikit Learn, as well as previous experience on machine learning will be particularly useful for this position. The position is open to applicants with a PhD in biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related fields.
