Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant Postdoc position related to the VIETSKILL project at the Department of International Economics, Government and Business. The position terminates 31. December 2022 and is part time, 25 hours a week.

The core research areas of the department are 'Business and Government' and 'International Business'. Business and Government is rooted in the disciplines political science and political economy. International Business includes both the disciplines of international economics and international management. EGB conducts research within these principal focus areas and their interfaces, and is uniquely positioned to generate research in the intersection of these two focus areas. At the same time our area- and regional-specific expertise allows us to address challenges faced by emerging and advanced economies.

We deliver research-based teaching into undergraduate and graduate teaching in programs such as International Business, International Business and Politics, and International Business in Asia. Examples of research areas that the postdoc may cover:

  Econometric analysis of trade development / product space models

  Quantitative analysis of export upgrading patterns

  Analysis of skill requirements and training needs in export value chains

  Interviews with enterprises in relevant industry clusters

To fulfill the research requirements of the position, the applicant chosen is expected to be physically present on a regular basis and actively participate in the research activities of the Department.

Qualifications

The applicant must hold a PhD or the equivalent. In assessing applications, particular emphasis will be placed on research potential.

Emphasis is placed on research relevant to the job description, familiarity with the Vietnamese food products and electronics sectors and knowledge of Vietnamese language.

The applicant must have professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
