A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the lab of Dr. Nagarajan Vaidehi of the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. Our laboratory focuses on developing physics-based computational methods to study protein structure, dynamics, and drug design.

As a successful candidate, you will:
Develop and apply Bayesian Network machine learning methods to analyze the dynamics of G-protein coupled receptors to uncover allosteric regulation that enables design of allosteric modulators.
Develop design principles of targeted protein degradation in collaboration with Pharma.
Have an opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Your qualifications should include:
A Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or Physics or Biochemistry with experience in protein dynamics studies.
Knowledge about concepts in statistical thermodynamics, in python scripting and C++ programming.
Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity with Molecular Dynamics methods and experience in code development.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.55 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
