一、實驗室介紹

王立銘，首都醫(yī)科大學(xué)公共衛(wèi)生學(xué)院院長、博士生導(dǎo)師，首都醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)創(chuàng)新中心資深研究員、人類遺傳與分子醫(yī)學(xué)研究所所長。實驗室長期關(guān)注機體代謝的神經(jīng)生物學(xué)調(diào)控機理研究。在Nature、Nature Neuro science、PNAS、eLife、Cell Research等知名期刊發(fā)表多篇研究論文。同時致力于大眾科學(xué)傳播和教育，出版專著《吃貨的生物學(xué)修養(yǎng)》、《上帝的手術(shù)刀》、《生命是什么》、《笑到最后》、《給忙碌者的病毒科學(xué)》等科普書籍，發(fā)行量超30萬冊，先后獲得國家圖書館“文津圖書獎”，科技部全國優(yōu)秀科普作品，“吳大猷科普著作獎”等獎勵。

二、實驗室研究方向

包括人類在內(nèi)，動物的生存和健康很大程度上依賴于對機體能量和必須營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)水平的精確調(diào)節(jié)和維持，而中樞神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)在這方面發(fā)揮了不可或缺的重要功能。通過實時的感知機體內(nèi)部的能量和營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)儲備，以及環(huán)境中食物的分布，中樞神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)可以通過精密的行為調(diào)節(jié)，保證動物機體的代謝平衡。而一旦這一調(diào)控機制被破壞，將可能引發(fā)包括進食障礙、肥胖癥在內(nèi)的一系列神經(jīng)和代謝系統(tǒng)疾病。

實驗室對神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)與代謝系統(tǒng)相關(guān)聯(lián)的生物學(xué)問題有廣泛的興趣。近期的研究工作將主要利用定量行為分析、活體鈣成像、遺傳篩選和分析、單細胞轉(zhuǎn)錄組和環(huán)路追蹤等技術(shù)，在果蠅和小鼠模型中研究如下兩個相互獨立但互相關(guān)聯(lián)的生物學(xué)問題：

l 神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)如何參與機體能量和重要營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)代謝的調(diào)控

l 動物各器官如何協(xié)同參與機體代謝的調(diào)控和代謝病的發(fā)生

Laboratory Introduction

Liming Wang is the Dean of the School of Public Health at Capital Medical University, a doctoral supervisor, a senior researcher at the Chinese Institutes for Medical Research in Beijing, and the director of the Institute of Human Genetics and Molecular Medicine. His laboratory has long focused on studying the neural and biological regulatory mechanisms of metabolism in the body. He has published numerous research papers in prestigious journals, including Nature, Nature Neuroscience, PNAS, eLife, and Cell Research. Additionally, he is dedicated to science communication and education, having authored popular science books such as Biological Cultivation of Foodies, God's Scalpel, What Is Life, Laughing Until the End, and Virus Science for Busy People, which have collectively sold over 300,000 copies. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Wenjin Book Award from the National Library, the National Excellent Science and Technology Popularization Works Award, and the Wu Daohu Science Popularization Book Award.

Major Research Projects

The survival and health of animals, including humans, largely depend on the precise regulation and maintenance of energy and essential nutrient levels in the body. The central nervous system plays an indispensable role in this process. By continuously monitoring the internal energy and nutrient reserves of the body, as well as the availability of food in the environment, the central nervous system can maintain metabolic balance through precise behavioral regulation. However, when this regulatory mechanism is disrupted, it can result in a range of neurological and metabolic disorders, including eating disorders and obesity.

Our laboratory has a diverse array of interests concerning the biological issues related to the nervous and metabolic systems. Our recent research will concentrate on employing quantitative behavioral analysis, in vivo calcium imaging, genetic screening and analysis, single-cell transcriptomics, and circuit tracking to explore two distinct yet interconnected biological questions in Drosophila and mouse models:

    How does the nervous system regulate energy metabolism and the utilization of essential nutrients?

    How do animal organs synergistically participate in the regulation of metabolism and the development of metabolic diseases?
