Call for a PostDoctoral Fellow Researcher
Center of Applied Microfluidic Chemistry, POSTECH (Pohang, Korea) is looking for a full-time post doctoral researcher with strong ambition who is able to work for publications at global top elite journals. The position is initially for a year contract base, which can be extended further on mutual understanding.
Area of Research:
1. Design and synthesis of self-assembly block copolymers (via RAFT, ATRP etc)
2. Synthesis of functional biomass-derived polymers
Qualifications
• Ph. D. in the area of polymer synthesis
• Experienced in block copolymer synthesis using Schlenk line and nanomaterials chemistry
• Prior exposure to nanoparticle synthesis, biomass, catalysis and microfluidics techniques will be preferred.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, sound organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible approach to equipment use and maintenance.
• Ability to learn new skills and use new technologies.
SALARY
Starting salary: 2.0 million Korean Won per month (~2,000USD)
2.0 mil won an extra salary per year: as a preserved retirement
Extra benefits: health & other insurances
Publication Incentives [(impact factor-5.0)/5 × 1million won]
2 weeks paid break per year
