- The candidate must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree) in areas such as immunology, molecular biology, physiology, cardiac or pulmonary medicine or related specialties.
- Experience in two or more of the following areas is highly desirable: (1) Advanced techniques in immunology and cardiovascular diseases; (2) Gene editing, cellular, and molecular biology; (3) Surgical skills in generating heart failure mice, primary culture and/or analysis of cardiac, T cells or stem cells; and (4) microsurgical skills in generating heart failure mice.
- The candidate should be a team player and comfortable working within an interdisciplinary group of personnel with different levels of research experience.

A Post-Doctoral Associate full time position is available at Lillehei Heart Institute, University of Minnesota in the laboratory of Dr. Yingjie Chen.
Scope: We are looking for a highly motivated, well-trained individual interested in the heart failure research. The successful candidates will work in a collaborative environment, learning a range of cardiovascular pathophysiology, immunology, molecular, and metabolic techniques, and working with novel animal models of heart failure.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute independent research plans leading to peer-reviewed publications with strong motivation towards developing research plans or grants.
- Carry out and/or supervise laboratory experiments
- Collect and analyze data
