香港城市大學(xué)于2020年初與東莞市人民政府和東莞理工學(xué)院就合作辦學(xué)事宜達(dá)成共識(shí)并簽署了合作協(xié)定，擬在松山湖共同申辦成立一所具有獨(dú)立法人資格的合作辦學(xué)機(jī)構(gòu)“香港城市大學(xué)（東莞）”，下稱港城大（東莞）。港城大（東莞）計(jì)劃于2023年9月正式立校。

2020年8月，東莞市香港城市大學(xué)研究院率先成立，為港城大（東莞）的建設(shè)發(fā)揮先導(dǎo)作用，協(xié)調(diào)港城大（東莞）的校園建設(shè)和辦學(xué)籌備工作，同時(shí)引進(jìn)香港城市大學(xué)的優(yōu)勢科研項(xiàng)目，開展先進(jìn)材料、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)、計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與信息技術(shù)、中子散射應(yīng)用物理等重點(diǎn)方向的研究。

為加快推進(jìn)重點(diǎn)方向的研究工作，同時(shí)為港城大（東莞）的教育和學(xué)科建設(shè)打下堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)，現(xiàn)面向國內(nèi)外公開招聘相關(guān)學(xué)科領(lǐng)域青年研究員。港城大（東莞）正式成立后，該崗位經(jīng)過遴選可轉(zhuǎn)為學(xué)校的研究序列職員。

一、學(xué)科領(lǐng)域

計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)、電子信息、智能制造、新能源、先進(jìn)材料和商學(xué)領(lǐng)域，包括但不限于下列方向：

計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)、人工智能與機(jī)器人、數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)與大數(shù)據(jù)技術(shù)、電子信息工程、通信工程、能源與動(dòng)力工程、新能源科學(xué)與工程、材料科學(xué)與工程、機(jī)械工程、智能制造工程、數(shù)字經(jīng)濟(jì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)與金融、國際經(jīng)濟(jì)與貿(mào)易、工商管理等。

二、崗位職責(zé)

●開展相關(guān)領(lǐng)域前沿科學(xué)研究

●協(xié)助研究中心的實(shí)驗(yàn)室日常管理

●協(xié)助推進(jìn)港城大（東莞）相關(guān)學(xué)科設(shè)置

三、任職條件

●具備博士學(xué)位和獨(dú)立科研能力

●在相關(guān)領(lǐng)域已取得一定的高水平研究成果

●可熟練使用英文進(jìn)行工作和交流

●年齡一般不超過40歲

Research Position Opening at CityU Dongguan Research Institut (2022)

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in early 2020 signed the collaboration agreements with Dongguan Municipal Government and Dongguan University of Technology to establish City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) in Songshan Lake Science City. CityU (Dongguan) is scheduled for opening in September 2023.

In August 2020, City University of Hong Kong Dongguan Research Institute (CityUDGRI) was officially established to facilitate the preparatory work of CityU (Dongguan). It conducts technology transfer activities and brings in City University of Hong Kong’s competitive research projects and spearhead research in several key areas: Advanced Materials, Internet of Things, Computer Science and Information Technology as well as Neutron Scattering and Applied Physics.

To accelerate the research work in the key areas and lay the foundation for the education and discipline construction of CityU (Dongguan), CityUDGRI is now recruiting talented Research Fellow. Once the CityU (Dongguan) is formally established, after selection this position can be subsumed under the Research  Staff thereof.

1. Research Areas

Computer Science, Electronic Information, Intelligent Manufacturing, New Energy, Advanced Materials and Business, including but not limited to the following disciplines:

Computer Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Technology, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, New Energy Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Digital Economy, Economics and Finance, International Economics and Trade, Business Administration, etc.

2. Major Responsibilities

●Carry out cutting-edge research projects

●Assist in the daily management of the research center

●Assist in the design and development of the relevant disciplines in CityU (Dongguan)

3. Qualifications

●A Ph.D. degree is required with an independent research proficiency

●Outstanding research outputs in relevant fields

●Ability to comprehend and communicate in English

●40 years of age or younger is preferred
