Nanjing Center for Applied Mathematics, NCAM 

南京應用數(shù)學中心（Nanjing Center for Applied Mathematics, NCAM）坐落于南京市江寧區(qū)，是在南京市政府支持下，于2019年12月由南京麒麟科技創(chuàng)新園和東南大學共同設立的具有獨立法人資格的新型研發(fā)機構。中心依托東南大學和麒麟科技創(chuàng)新園開展當代社會具有重要應用背景的數(shù)學問題的研究，是南京市麒麟科技創(chuàng)新園建設發(fā)展的重要組成部分。南京應用數(shù)學中心的研究人員分為四類：合同制全職聘用人員（一年以上）、東南大學和南京應用數(shù)學中心雙聘人員、博士后研究人員（依托東南大學博士后流通站）、訪問學者（一年以下）。所有人員依托南京應用數(shù)學的研究項目進行聘任和管理，中心將提供具有競爭力的工作條件和薪酬。 世界著名數(shù)學家丘成桐院士擔任南京應用數(shù)學中心主任。 

研究目標：開展當代社會中重要應用問題的數(shù)學建模和分析，發(fā)展解決重要應用數(shù)學問題的方法；促進有利于數(shù)學發(fā)展的跨學科領域的發(fā)展， 為國民經(jīng)濟和社會發(fā)展中重要的應用數(shù)學問題提供高效的解決方法和堅實的數(shù)學理論支撐。 

研究范圍：南京應用數(shù)學中心依托具有明確應用背景的科研項目，通過未來5-10年的持續(xù)建設，建立10個左右穩(wěn)定的應用數(shù)學研究方向，開展具有重要背景的應用數(shù)學問題的建模、分析和計算。 這些方向主要圍繞（但不限于）以下研究領域： 

（i）材料科學中的應用數(shù)學問題 

（ii）介質(zhì)成像和無損檢測中的應用數(shù)學問題 

（iii）遙感遙測的數(shù)學模型和計算方法 

（iv）人工智能和數(shù)據(jù)分析的數(shù)學方法及應用 

（v）圖像科學中的應用數(shù)學方法 

（vi）應用問題建模和大規(guī)�？茖W計算 

（vii）統(tǒng)計方法和數(shù)據(jù)科學 

每個研究組中不同級別的研究人員約15名。中心設置下列崗位，誠邀具有上述領域或相關領域背景的學者應聘。 

01杰出研究員、研究員、副研究員、助理研究員(準聘)、訪問學者 

長聘及準聘研究人員可同時申請東南大學丘成桐中心（SEU-Yau Center），由東南大學和南京應用數(shù)學中心雙聘。目前年薪范圍在35-260萬元之間，具體薪酬取決于應聘者的綜合素質(zhì)。申請人需具備良好的科研潛力和合作能力。

02麒麟青年學者（40歲以下） 

南京應用數(shù)學中心依托中心的研究項目，面向相關研究方向40歲以下的青年科研人員，招聘麒麟青年學者（包括依托東南大學培養(yǎng)的博士后研究人員和青年訪問學者兩類）。鼓勵新近畢業(yè)的博士或即將畢業(yè)的博士研究生申請該職位。麒麟青年學者的聘期一般是兩年，可申請延期一年。南京應用數(shù)學中心將綜合考慮申請人的資歷、研究成果和工作經(jīng)驗，提供具有競爭力的薪酬待遇，目前年薪標準為20萬元到40萬元。

Recruitment of the Nanjing Center for Applied Mathematics（NCAM） 

Nanjing, China 

Located in Jiangning district of Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China, the NCAM is a legally independent research institution jointly funded by Nanjing Qiling Hi-Tec Zone and Southeast University. The director of the NCAM is Prof. Shing-Tung Yau. 

The goal of the NCAM:  

♦ To perform mathematical modeling and analysis on academic problems with wide-ranging applied backgrounds. 

♦ To develop efficient methods with solid theoretical foundations for applied mathematical problems in modern societies. 

♦ To boost the interdisciplinary co-operations within and outside the mathematics. 

Research scopes of the NCAM in the upcoming five to ten years are mainly focused on but not limited to: 

（i） Applied mathematical problems in material science. 

（ii） Applied mathematical problems in media imaging and nondestructive tests. 

（iii）Mathematical modeling and numerical methods in remote sensing. 

（iv） Mathematical methods for artificial intelligence and data mining.  

（v） Applied mathematical methods for imaging science. 

（vi） Mathematical modeling of problems with applied backgrounds and large-scale scientific computing. 

（vii）Statistical methods and data science. 

The research group of each direction of the NCAM consists of about fifteen researchers. 

The NCAM calls for application for the following positions. 

Position 1 

Distinguished Professor, Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor (tenure track) and part time, Visitting Scholars.  

Applicants for tenure-track and tenured positions can also apply for joint affiliation with Southeast University through the Shing-Tung Yau Center of Southeast University. Prominent research track record or potential and strong teamwork are required. Currently the annual salary ranges from 350,000 RMB to 2,600,000 RMB, determined by applicants' qualifications. Position 2

Qiling Young Research Fellowship includes postdoctor position jointly affiliated to Southeast University and part-time visiting young scholars. 

Newly and recently graduated PhDs who are below 40 are encouraged to apply for this position. The fellowship typically lasts for two years, with conditional extension for the third year. The NCAM offers competitive annual salary ranging from 200,000 RMB to 400,000 RMB depending on applicants' qualifications, achievements and experiences.
