Position Summary
 
技術(shù)支持專員需要與教職員工及學(xué)生緊密合作,提供軟硬件設(shè)備和相關(guān)教學(xué)資源等各個(gè)方面日常技術(shù)支持,確保安全高效的教學(xué)環(huán)境,為教職員工和學(xué)生提供高質(zhì)量的服務(wù)。技術(shù)支持專員的職責(zé)是確保教學(xué)高效、流暢的運(yùn)作,日常維護(hù)設(shè)備設(shè)施,協(xié)助建立快速響應(yīng)及相關(guān)的技術(shù)支持流程,促進(jìn)在日常教學(xué)、研究和部門活動(dòng)中技術(shù)服務(wù)的有效利用。
 
該技術(shù)人員將負(fù)責(zé)為日常教學(xué)提供技術(shù)支持、維護(hù)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)備,進(jìn)行教室多媒體設(shè)備基礎(chǔ)支持等,為教學(xué)工作和部門活動(dòng)提供合適的技術(shù)解決方案,支持部門場(chǎng)所的技術(shù)設(shè)備和相關(guān)設(shè)施工作。無論是單獨(dú)工作還是作為支持團(tuán)隊(duì)的一部分,至少要求具備以下領(lǐng)域之一的基礎(chǔ)知識(shí):電子工程,計(jì)算機(jī)技術(shù)支持或教室多媒體視聽技術(shù)支持等。
 
主要職責(zé)包括但不限于:
 
設(shè)備管理與維護(hù)(30%)
●  負(fù)責(zé)設(shè)備中心和相關(guān)系統(tǒng)、設(shè)備和相關(guān)資源的技術(shù)支持,定期檢測(cè)維護(hù)設(shè)備。
●  定期報(bào)告設(shè)備及相關(guān)器材的狀態(tài)。
●  負(fù)責(zé)所有設(shè)備、工具和耗材的日常服務(wù)、維護(hù)和高效管理,以確保設(shè)備器材時(shí)刻處于良好的工作狀態(tài)。
●  協(xié)助教職工準(zhǔn)備教學(xué)材料/設(shè)備,包括但不限于多媒體輔助設(shè)備、教學(xué)相關(guān)材料、工具及設(shè)備等。
●  培訓(xùn)學(xué)生和教職員工使用設(shè)備和資源。
●  制定并維護(hù)使用資源和設(shè)備等的相關(guān)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)準(zhǔn)則和操作程序。
●  負(fù)責(zé)相關(guān)設(shè)備的日常支持和維護(hù)工作。包括但不限于:
  ○  教室多媒體音頻/視頻設(shè)備(例如無線麥克風(fēng),揚(yáng)聲器,網(wǎng)絡(luò)攝像頭,投影儀等)。
  ○  各軟硬件,計(jì)算機(jī)及其外圍設(shè)備。例如:打印機(jī)掃描儀等。
  ○  各類基礎(chǔ)電子元件,傳感器,電路板等(例如晶體管,電阻器,電容器,電動(dòng)機(jī),LED,二極管,蜂鳴器,面包板等)。
 
教學(xué)技術(shù)支持(30%)
●  維護(hù)現(xiàn)有的服務(wù)和解決方案(包括教室支持,通用設(shè)備等)并跟進(jìn)相關(guān)新服務(wù)。
●  跟進(jìn)相關(guān)解決方案,以改善日常教學(xué)質(zhì)量(例如:教室基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施及多媒體視聽設(shè)備等)。
●  課前器材準(zhǔn)備并設(shè)置教室,負(fù)責(zé)進(jìn)行教室日常預(yù)防性維護(hù)檢查。

●  執(zhí)行日常維護(hù)工作,確保安全高效的空間和教室環(huán)境。
●  響應(yīng)用戶需求,并第一時(shí)間制定行動(dòng)計(jì)劃,及時(shí)高效地解決問題。
●  為日常教學(xué)工作,課程和部門相關(guān)活動(dòng)提供現(xiàn)場(chǎng)技術(shù)支持和服務(wù),包括耗材、●  設(shè)備、器材、相關(guān)物品存儲(chǔ)及教學(xué)活動(dòng)支持等。
●  支持不同團(tuán)隊(duì)的技術(shù)項(xiàng)目及協(xié)作跟進(jìn)工作。
●  與不同部門以及第三方供應(yīng)商合作,支持并滿足運(yùn)營(yíng)和課程等的日常需求。例如:運(yùn)營(yíng)設(shè)施部門、IT部門、財(cái)務(wù)部門、采購(gòu)部門、供應(yīng)商等。
●  作為部門接口人與相關(guān)學(xué)校支持部門,如基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施,財(cái)產(chǎn)管理和公共安全部等,協(xié)同合作確保部門基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施及日常財(cái)產(chǎn)設(shè)備管理的工作。與其他各部門合作,負(fù)責(zé)處理解決與日常教學(xué)、課程、部門等相關(guān)的需求。充當(dāng)HSE協(xié)調(diào)員,以確保流暢安全的日常運(yùn)營(yíng)工作。
 
日常采購(gòu)支持(10%)
●  負(fù)責(zé)支持日常采購(gòu)需求。
●  處理設(shè)備和組件等的采購(gòu)和維護(hù)。
 
The Technology Support Generalist position is a full time position, who will work closely with faculty and students to support all aspects of hardware, software, equipment, and resources etc. to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive teaching and learning environment. S/he will not only be in charge of the daily technology support, but also ensure to provide high quality services to our faculty and student community, as well as a key person focused on equipment management & maintenance, department related projects build up, daily tech support services and follow ups.
 
This position works as technology staff to provide daily technology, desktop support, equipment maintenance, audio-visual support in classrooms as well as daily curriculum required support throughout the community. Actively identify, develop, implement and support appropriate technology solutions for teaching, learning, research and department events. Support technology equipment, facilities in department space.
 
The role of Technology Support Generalist is to function as a key partner for department users and ensure an efficient, continuous operation of teaching and learning space as well as daily equipment maintenance. Help foster a responsive and adept technology support structure to promote the effective use of technology in teaching, learning, research and administration activities. Work both individually and as part of a support team, at least have basic knowledge in one of the following areas: electronic engineering, computer technology support or audio-visual technology etc.
 
Under the supervision of Studio and Technology Operations Manager the main responsibilities of a Lab Technician mainly includes but not limited to:
 
Equipment Management and Maintenance (30%)
●  Support of the Equipment Center, system, equipment and related resources, and ensure the protection of lab equipment through oversight of regular maintenance.
●  Report of the status of equipment and materials on a regular basis.
Responsible for the day to day technology support, maintenance, and inventory of all equipment, tools and supplies on a regular basis to ensure they are in good working order.
●  Assist faculty members in preparation of teaching and instructional materials/equipment, including but not limited to audio visual aids, materials, tools, equipment etc.
●  Work with students and faculty in the training and use of equipment and resources.
●  Develop and maintain guidelines and SOPs of using lab resources and equipment etc.
●  Be responsible for the day to day support and maintenance of all lab equipment and devices. This includes, but not limited to:
  ○  Digital media and audio/visual equipment (e.g. wireless microphone, speaker, webcam, projector, camera, headset etc.)
  ○  Various hardware and software, computers, printers and scanners etc.
  ○  Various electronics components, sensors, boards etc. (e.g. transistor, resistor, capacitor, motor, LED, diode, buzzer, breadboard, etc.)
 
Technology Support for Teaching and Learning (30%)
●  Maintain existing technology services and solutions (including classroom support, general equipment, etc.) as well as new services development. This includes, but not limited to network attached storage, AWS clouds solutions, live streaming technologies, classroom technologies, teaching & learning tools and online systems, distance learning technologies etc.
●  Propose technical solutions to improve the audio-visual systems in classrooms. Investigate, research, explore, develop, test, design and work out new classroom technologies, audio-visual, digital media systems and equipment to well support daily teaching and learning requirements.
●  Prepare and set up the classrooms as well as implement classroom daily preventative maintenance checks before commencement of class.
●  Participate in classroom demonstration and instruction as required by daily operations of our classes.
●  Create, update and maintain equipment user guide. Train and assist faculty/students in the use of lab hardware, software, facilities, audio-visual presentation equipment, video conferencing and other related systems etc.
●  Provide desktop support, maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, hardware, software, computer and operating systems, including Mac OS X and Windows 10 for faculty/students. Ensure purposeful and creative operation of lab computers, scanners, printers, other technologies etc., and provide assistance with configuration and deployment of new technologies (Eg. imaging lab computers and academic software license management with the remote management tools).
 
Daily Lab Operation Support ​ ​(30%)
●  Support the daily operation of the Studio, Lab, Classrooms during routine hours, as well as occasional additional events.
●  Perform daily maintenance routines to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive lab environment.
●  Respond to all user-requests as well as develop action plans to resolve the issues timely and effectively.
●  Provide on-site technology support and services for lab, daily class and program-related events including lab supplies, equipment, critical sample storage, program level events etc.
●  Support different teams with technology projects and events.
●  Work closely and cooperate with different departments as well as third party vendors to support / meet daily requirements of operations and courses etc. Eg. Facilities, IT, Finance, Procurement, vendors, etc.
●  Interface with Facilities, Property Management and Public Safety for lab infrastructure, risk management and other internal departments for lab related requests etc. Act as a HSE coordinator in the lab to ensure safety.
 
Program-Related Procurement (10%)
●  Assist in daily procurement needs.
●  Process purchasing and maintenance of equipment and components etc.
 
Qualifications

●  具有Mac OS計(jì)算機(jī)操作經(jīng)驗(yàn)和相關(guān)知識(shí)的候選人,可優(yōu)先考慮。
●  具有1-2年實(shí)習(xí)或相關(guān)工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)的可優(yōu)先考慮,但非必需。

Required Education:
●  Minimum Bachelor’s Degree. Preferably in Computer Science, Digital Media Production, Instructional Technology, Sound Engineering, EE (Electronic Engineering)​, Electric Engineering and Automation, Electronics Science and Technology, Electrical & Information Engineering, or equivalent. If the candidate has good knowledge, background or skills in the field of related technology, majors can be not limited in the above.
 
Required Experience
●  Basic understanding and knowledge of various electronics components, sensors and related tools are a must.
●  Prior knowledge/skills in 1-2 following fields is a plus (e.g. computer hardware/software, operation systems, desktop/service desk technology support, media equipment, audio-visual devices, such as speakers, microphones, projectors, audio cables).
●  Prior experience and related knowledge of Mac OS computers are preferred.
●  1-2 years’ intern or related experience in providing desktop, A/V(audio-visual), technology support is preferred, but not a must.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
●  Ability to learn and apply new technologies and skills quickly is a must.
●  Passionate about the fields of electronic engineering and related technology is a must.
●  Detail oriented and proficient at troubleshooting and problem solving.
●  Eager to learn and explore new technology, skills and related knowledge to solve the problem is a must.
●  Strong sense of responsibility, good organization, and coordination abilities are must.
●  Take the job seriously, ability to work independently and fix the problems initiatively is a must.
