Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW JOB OPENING AT JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
The Hopkins Eye & Brain Tumor Laboratory led by investigators Charles Eberhart, Eric Raabe, and Jeffrey Rubens is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead translational pediatric neuro-oncology research, advancing novel therapies to improve the lives of children suffering from brain tumors. Research will focus on identifying epigenetic and metabolic vulnerabilities in the infantile brain tumor, atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor and determining the efficacy and consequences of precise metabolic inhibitors of these pathways. This research will help the post-doctoral scholar develop a unique niche in cancer research at the cross-section of drug development, cancer metabolomics, and epigenetics. The post-doc will test the in vitro and in vivo efficacy of novel therapeutics in patient-derived cell models and mouse xenografts of pediatric brain tumors, process and analyze metabolomics data, and plan and analyze epigenetic studies.
