NIH National Cancer Institute
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Chongyi Chen at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), located in Washington D.C. metro area. The Chen lab develops novel genomic technologies and single-cell sequencing assays to study chromatin biology and gene expression regulation in human cells, with a focus on the genome-wide dynamics and regulation of DNA topology and topoisomerases in key biological processes. We are a relatively young lab that have recently invented new genomic technologies, which open doors to many exciting projects in chromatin biology. For more information about the lab and the PI, please visit: https://ccr.cancer.gov/Laboratory-of-Biochemistry-and-Molecular-Biology/chongyi-chen
The laboratory is located in the NIH main campus, together with more than 1000 labs, and more than 100 members of National Academy of Sciences/Medicine. The NIH intramural postdoctoral fellows have access to first-class research facilities, enjoy outstanding salary and benefits often better than their counterparts in universities. The NIH intramural labs are stably and sufficiently funded without the pressure of securing grants from time to time, thus have the privilege to focus on producing high-quality science.
We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, or related fields who are passionate and self-motivated in research. Candidates with prior experience in chromatin biology, genomics or single-cell biology are especially encouraged to apply. Interested applicants should send a CV including a publication list and the contact information of references to chongyi.chen@nih.gov
