Job Description
The Dental and Craniofacial Trauma Research and Tissue Regeneration at the US Army Institute of Surgical Research is seeking a full-time post-doctoral fellow in chemical engineering or bioengineering to assist in the development and characterization of various drug delivery platforms for controlling infections, promoting wound healing, and reducing scarring in animal wound healing models. The developmental approach includes microencapsulation/nanoparticles for controlled release of candidate anti-microbial and anti-fibrotic drugs using drug delivery platforms such as electrospun nanofibers, thin films, and 3-D printing. The position is administered through the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) (http://orise.orau.gov). This is a three year appointment with a starting salary of approximately $56,000 annually. Benefits may include relocation cost. This position is based in San Antonio, TX.
